Legion of Mono by C.D. Tavenor is a short story, I read it in about a half hour. Despite the shortness, it has a lot packed into it. It builds a world, sets time and place, introduces characters and conflict. There is a final reveal that sharpens everything nicely.
…a teaser trailer for a much larger epic…
The language and prose most certainly left me wanting more. I hope that this is intended to act as a teaser trailer for a much larger epic that is coming soon.
A competent 3 out of 5 stars for C.D. Tavenor, because it also left me feeling frustrated as it really is very short and has several formatting errors.
